MELASSES n.
See Molasses.
MELASSIC a.
Pertaining to, or designating, an acid obtained from molasses or glucose, and probably identical with saccharic acid. See Saccharic.
MITIS CASTING n.
uring the molten metal into a mold lined with a special mixture consisting essentially of molasses and ground burnt fire clay; also, a casting made by this process; -- called also wrought-iron casting.
MIXTURE n.
