To decompose, or resolve into parts; to destroy the form of; to unmake. [R.] Good.

Unorganized; without definite shape or structure; as, an unformed, or unorganized, ferment. Unformed stars (Astron.), stars not grouped into any constellation; informed stars. See Sporades.

The structureless, protoplasmic tissue of the embryo; the primitive basis of an organ yet unformed, from which it grows.

An unorganized or unformed ferment, in distinction from an organized or living ferment; a soluble, or chemical, ferment. Ptyalin, pepsin, diastase, and rennet are good examples of enzymes.
