One who, or that which, points. Specifically:
APPOINTER n.
One who appoints, or executes a power of appointment. Kent.
ANEMOSCOPE n.
ntrivance consisting of a vane above, connected in the building with a dial or index with pointers to show the changes of the wind.
DALMATIAN a.
Of or pertaining to Dalmatia. Dalmatian dog (Zoöl.), a carriage dog, shaped like a pointer, and having black or bluish spots on a white ground; the coach dog.
