PER- n. 2 definitions
A prefix used to signify through, throughout, by, for, or as an intensive as perhaps, by hap or chance; perennial, that lasts throughout the year; perforce, through or by force; perfoliate, perforate; perspicuous, evident throughout or very evident; perplex, literally, to entangle very much.
COPPER-BOTTOMED a.
Having a bottom made of copper, as a tin boiler or other vessel, or sheathed with copper, as a ship.
COPPER-FACED a.
Faced or covered with copper; as, copper-faced type.
COPPER-FASTENED a.
Fastened with copper bolts, as the planks of ships, etc.; as, a copper-fastened ship.
