PARTED a. 3 definitions
, or the base of the blade; -- said of a leaf, and used chiefly in composition; as, three-parted, five-parted, etc. Gray.
THREE-PARTED a.
Divided into, or consisting of, three parts; tripartite. Three- parted leaf (Bot.), a leaf divided into three parts down to the base, but not entirely separate.

Parted into three piece; having three parts or pieces; -- said of the field or of a bearing; as, a cross triparted.
