OPHTHALMIA n.
An inflammation of the membranes or coats of the eye or of the eyeball.
EXOPHTHALMIA n.
The protrusion of the eyeball so that the eyelids will not cover it, in consequence of disease.
LAGOPHTHALMIA; LAGOPHTHALMOS n.
A morbid condition in which the eye stands wide open, giving a peculiar staring appearance.
MICROPHTHALMIA; MICROPHTHALMY n.
An unnatural smallness of the eyes, occurring as the result of disease or of imperfect development.
