JERSEY n. 3 definitions
One of a breed of cattle in the Island of Jersey. Jerseys are noted for the richness of their milk.
ALDERNEY n.
y, one of the Channel Islands. Alderneys are of a dun or tawny color and are often called Jersey cattle. See Jersey, 3.
BLUEFISH n.
arangidæ, valued as a food fish, and widely distributed on the American coast. On the New Jersey and Rhode Island coast it is called the horse mackerel, in Virginia saltwater tailor, or skipjack.
