INCLUDE v. 3 definitions
To confine within; to hold; to contain; to shut up; to inclose; as, the shell of a nut includes the kernel; a pearl is included in a shell.
INCLUDED a.
Inclosed; confined. Included stamens (Bot.), such as are shorter than the floral envelopes, or are concealed within them.
ABSORB v.
up; to engulf; to overwhelm; to cause to disappear as if by swallowing up; to use up; to include. "Dark oblivion soon absorbs them all." Cowper. The large cities absorb the wealth and fashion. W. Irving.
ACARINA n.
The group of Arachnida which includes the mites and ticks. Many species are parasitic, and cause diseases like the itch and mange.
ACCIPITRES n.
The order that includes rapacious birds. They have a hooked bill, and sharp, strongly curved talons. There are three families, represented by the vultures, the falcons or hawks, and the owls.
ACEPHALA n.
That division of the Mollusca which includes the bivalve shells, like the clams and oysters; -- so called because they have no evident head. Formerly the group included the Tunicata, Brachiopoda, and sometimes the Bryozoa. See Mollusca.

A group of the Carnivora, which includes the cats, civets, and hyenas.

A kind of seaweed; pl. the class of cellular cryptogamic plants which includes the black, red, and green seaweeds, as kelp, dulse, sea lettuce, also marine and fresh water confervæ, etc.

tty; -- applied to compounds having an openc-hain structure. The aliphatic compounds thus include not only the fatty acids and other derivatives of the paraffin hydrocarbons, but also unsaturated compounds, as the ethylene and acetylene series.

A genus of aromatic plants. It includes species which bear cardamoms, and grains of paradise.
ANALLANTOIDEA n.
The division of Vertebrata in which no allantois is developed. It includes amphibians, fishes, and lower forms.
ANDROPOGON n.
A very large and important genus of grasses, found in nearly all parts of the world. It includes the lemon grass of Ceylon and the beard grass, or broom sedge, of the United States.
