HAH interj.
Same as Ha.
EPHAH; EPHA n.
A Hebrew dry measure, supposed to be equal to two pecks and five quarts. ten ephahs make one homer.

Chief ruler; monarch; sovereign; -- a title of the Sultan of Turkey, and of the Shah of Persia.
PARASHAH n.

HOMEOPATHY n.
emedies being usually administered in minute doses. This system was founded by Dr. Samuel Hahnemann, and is opposed to allopathy, or heteropathy. [Written also homoepathy.]
HOMER n.
ths, equivalent to fifty-five gallons, two quarts, one pint; and, as a dry measure, ten ephahs, equivalent to six bushels, two pecks, four quarts. [Written also chomer, gomer.]
KRITARCHY n.
The rule of the judges over Israel. Samson, Jephthah, Gideon, and other heroes of the kritarchy. Southey.
OMER n.
A Hebrew measure, the tenth of an ephah. See Ephah. Ex. xvi. 36.
ORCHARD n.
ed American oriole (Icterus spurius), which frequents orchards. It is smaller and darker thah the Baltimore oriole.

pl. of Parashah.
