GLUME n.
The bracteal covering of the flowers or seeds of grain and grasses; esp., an outer husk or bract of a spikelt. Gray.
GLUMELLA; GLUMELLE n.
One of the pelets or inner chaffy scales of the flowers or spikelets of grasses.
