Made of glass; vitreous; as, a glassy substance. Bacon.
ANORTHITE n.
A mineral of the feldspar family, commonly occurring in small glassy crystals, also a constituent of some igneous rocks. It is a lime feldspar. See Feldspar.
ATLANTA n.
A genus of small glassy heteropod mollusks found swimming at the surface in mid ocean. See Heteropod.
AXINITE n.
A borosilicate of alumina, iron, and lime, commonly found in glassy, brown crystals with acute edges.
