EIGHTH a. 4 definitions
Consisting of one of eight equal divisions of a thing. Eighth note (Mus.), the eighth part of a whole note, or semibreve; a quaver.

An acetabulum; or about one eighth of a pint. [Obs.] Holland.
ACETABULUM n.
A vinegar cup; socket of the hip bone; a measure of about one eighth of a pint, etc.
