Having the appearance of a tuft of hair; having a hairlike tail or train. "Comate, crinite, caudate stars."
CANCRINITE n.
A mineral occurring in hexagonal crystals, also massive, generally of a yellow color, containing silica, alumina, lime, soda, and carbon dioxide.
ENCRINITE n.
A fossil crinoid, esp. one belonging to, or resembling, the genus Encrinus. Sometimes used in a general sense for any crinoid.
