CINCHONA n. 2 definitions
The bark of any species of cinchona containing three per cent. or more of bitter febrifuge alkaloids; Peruvian bark; Jesuits' bark.
CINCHONACEOUS a.
Allied or pertaining to cinchona, or to the plants that produce it.
ANTISEPTIC n.
or destroys, or protects from, putrefactive organisms; as, salt, carbolic acid, alcohol, cinchona.
ARICINE n.
An alkaloid, first found in white cinchona bark.
