CHARGER n. 4 definitions
A large dish. [Obs.] Give me here John Baptist's head in a charger. Matt. xiv. 8.
DISCHARGER n.
One who, or that which, discharges. Specifically, in electricity, an instrument for discharging a Leyden jar, or electrical battery, by making a connection between the two surfaces; a discharging rod.
SURCHARGER n.
One who surcharges.
CABRIOLE n.
A curvet; a leap. See Capriole. The cabrioles which his charger exhibited. Sir W. Scott.
