CENTRUM n.
The body, or axis, of a vertebra. See Vertebra.
INTERCENTRUM n.
The median of the three elements composing the centra of the vertebræ in some fossil batrachians.
PLEUROCENTRUM n.
One of the lateral elements in the centra of the vertebræ in some fossil batrachians.
EPICENTRAL a.

Concave behind; -- applied especially to vertebræ in which the anterior end of the centrum is convex and the posterior concave.
