CARROT n. 2 definitions
An umbelliferous biennial plant (Daucus Carota), of many varieties.
CARROTY a.
Like a carrot in color or in taste; -- an epithet given to reddish yellow hair, etc.
BROOM RAPE n.
ked flowers, and grow attached to the roots of other plants, as furze, clover, flax, wild carrot, etc. The name is sometimes applied to other plants related to this genus, as Aphyllon uniflorumand A. Ludovicianum.
