BRYOZOA n.
A class of Molluscoidea, including minute animals which by budding form compound colonies; -- called also Polyzoa.

ACEPHALA n.
no evident head. Formerly the group included the Tunicata, Brachiopoda, and sometimes the Bryozoa. See Mollusca.
AVICULARIA n.
See prehensile processes on the cells of some Bryozoa, often having the shape of a bird's bill.
BRYOZOUM n.
An individual zooid of a bryozoan coralline, of which there may be two or more kinds in a single colony. The zooecia usually have a wreath of tentacles around the mouth, and a well developed stomach and intestinal canal; but these parts are lacking in the other zooids (Avicularia, Ooecia, etc.).
CELLEPORE n.
A genus of delicate branching corals, made up of minute cells, belonging to the Bryozoa.
CHILOSTOMA; CHILOSTOMATA n.
An extensive suborder of marine Bryozoa, mostly with calcareous shells. They have a movable lip and a lid to close the aperture of the cells. [Also written Chillostomata.]

A genus of Bryozoa which produce delicate corals, often incrusting like lichens, but sometimes branched.

In Bryozoa, an organ extending back from the stomach. See Bryozoa, and Phylactolema.
