HANDLE v.
he hands. The hardness of the winters forces the breeders to house and handle their colts six months every year. Sir W. Temple.
HEAD n.
n individual; -- often used in a plural sense; as, a thousand head of cattle. It there be six millions of people, there are about four acres for every head. Graunt.
HECDECANE n.
dissolved as an important ingredient of kerosene, and so called because each molecule has sixteen atoms of carbon; -- called also hexadecane.

Belonging to the Hexactinellinæ, a group of sponges, having six-rayed siliceous spicules.

An atom whose valence is six, and which can be theoretically combined with, substituted for, or replaced by, six monad atoms or radicals; as, sulphur is a hexad in sulphuric acid. Also used as an adjective.

Having six fingers or toes.

A series of six numbers.
HEXAGON n.
A plane figure of six angles. Regular hexagon, a hexagon in which the angles are all equal, and the sides are also all equal.
HEXAGONAL a.
Having six sides and six angles; six-sided. Hexagonal system. (Crystal.) See under Crystallization.
HEXAGRAM n. 2 definitions
ntersecting so that each side of one triangle is parallel to a side of the other, and the six points coincide with those of a hexagon.
