CAST n.
Four; that is, as many as are thrown into a vessel at once in counting herrings, etc; a warp.

The gum resin of the hemp plant (Cannabis sativa). Same as Churrus. Balfour.

A board with sixty-four squares of alternate color, used for playing checkers or draughts.
CHEIROPTERA n.
An order of mammalia, including the bats, having four toes of each of the anterior limbs elongated and connected by a web, so that they can be used like wings in flying. See Bat.
CHIBOUQUE; CHIBOUK n.
A Turkish pipe, usually with a mouthpiece of amber, a stem, four or five feet long and not pliant, of some valuable wood, and a bowl of baked clay.
CHIKARA n.
The Indian four-horned antelope (Tetraceros quadricornis).
CHIMPANZEE n.
nearly to man, in most respects, than any other ape. When full grown, it is from three to four feet high.
