MONOCLINIC a.
one oblique intersection; -- said of that system of crystallization in which the vertical axis is inclined to one, but at right angles to the other, lateral axis. See Crystallization.
MONOPODIAL a.
Having a monopodium or a single and continuous axis, as a birchen twig or a cornstalk.

NEUROKERATIN n.
A substance, resembling keratin, present in nerve tissue, as in the sheath of the axis cylinder of medullated nerve fibers. Like keratin it resists the action of most chemical agents, and by decomposition with sulphuric acid yields leucin and tyrosin.
