APPROACHING n.
act of ingrafting a sprig or shoot of one tree into another, without cutting it from the parent stock; -- called, also, inarching and grafting by approach.
AQUAMARINE n.
A transparent, pale green variety of beryl, used as a gem. See Beryl.

A design or painting in thin transparent water colors; also, the mode of painting in such colors.

A exterior covering, forming a false coat or appendage to a seed, as the loose, transparent bag inclosing the seed or the white water lily. The mace of the nutmeg is also an aril. Gray.
