SPOROSAC n.
orms and some other invertebrates, which is capable or reproducing other germs by asexual generation; a nurse; a redia.

A theory of generation in which each germ is supposed to contain the germs of all subsequent generations; -- the opposite of epigenesis.

other; the transmission of rights, titles, or privileges, from father to son, or from one generation to another.

A family, race, or series of generations, descending from the same progenitor, and kept distinct, as in the case of the twelve tribes of Israel, descended from the twelve sons of Jacob. "The Lion of the tribe of Juda." Rev. v. 5. A wealthy Hebrew of my tribe. Shak.

A zooid of the third generation in asexual reproduction.
