AUTHENTIC a.
al; being what it purports to be; genuine; not of doubtful origin; real; as, an authentic paper or register. To be avenged On him who had stole Jove's authentic fire. Milton.

Pertaining to, or used in, the process of autography; as, autographic ink, paper, or press.
AUTOGRAPHY n.
A process in lithography by which a writing or drawing is transferred from paper to stone. Ure.

The paper containing the decision of arbitrators; that which is warded. Bouvier.
BABOON n.
One of the Old World Quadrumana, of the genera Cynocephalus and Papio; the dog-faced ape. Baboons have dog-like muzzles and large canine teeth, cheek pouches, a short tail, and naked callosities on the buttocks. They are mostly African. See Mandrill, and Chacma, and Drill an ape.

Paps, or little projections, of the mucous membrane, which mark the opening of the submaxillary glands under the tongue in horses and cattle. The name is mostly applied when the barbs are inflamed and swollen. [Written also barbel and barble.]
