ARCHITECTONIC; ARCHITECTONICAL a.
signing or construction; constructive. "Architectonic wisdom." Boyle. These architectonic functions which we had hitherto thought belonged. J. C. Shairp.

The independent variable upon whose value that of a function depends. Brande & C.
ARILLODE n.
A false aril; an aril originating from the micropyle instead of from the funicle or chalaza of the ovule. The mace of the nutmeg is an arillode.

The buttocks, or hind part of an animal; the posteriors; the fundament; the bottom.
ARTIODACTYLA n.
One of the divisions of the ungulate animals. The functional toes of the hind foot are even in number, and the third digit of each foot (corresponding to the middle finger in man) is asymmetrical and paired with the fourth digit, as in the hog, the sheep, and the ox; - - opposed to Perissodactyla.
