AGNUS DEI n.
A triple prayer in the sacrifice of the Mass, beginning with the words "Agnus Dei."
AGONY n.
pecifically, the sufferings of Christ in the garden of Gethsemane. Being in an agony he prayed more earnestly. Luke xxii. 44.
