SPARK n.
A small particle of fire or ignited substance which is emitted by a body in combustion. Man is born unto trouble, as hte sparks fly upward. Job v. 7.
SPARK COIL n.
An induction coil, esp. of an internal-combustion engine, wireless telegraph apparatus, etc.
SPARK PLUG n.
In internal-combustion engines with electric ignition, a plug, screwed into the cylinder head, having through it an insulated wire which is connected with the induction coil or magneto circuit on the outside, and forms, with another terminal on the base of the plug, a spark gap inside the cylinder.
SPONTANEOUS a.
being planted, or without human labor; as, a spontaneous growth of wood.
