RAZOR n. 2 definitions
A keen-edged knife of peculiar shape, used in shaving the hair from the face or the head. "Take thee a barber's rasor." Ezek. v. 1.
RUSTY a.
Covered or affected with rust; as, a rusty knife or sword; rusty wheat.
SCALE n.
The thin metallic side plate of the handle of a pocketknife. See Illust. of Pocketknife.
SCALING a.
Adapted for removing scales, as from a fish; as, a scaling knife; adapted for removing scale, as from the interior of a steam boiler; as, a scaling hammer, bar, etc.
SCALPEL n.
A small knife with a thin, keen blade, -- used by surgeons, and in dissecting.
SCALPING n.
(Surg.), an instrument used in scraping foul and carious bones; a raspatory. -- Scalping knife, a knife used by north American Indians in scalping.

SHEEPSPLIT n.
lit of a sheepskin; one of the thin sections made by splitting a sheepskin with a cutting knife or machine.
SKEAN n.
A knife or short dagger, esp. that in use among the Highlanders of Scotland. [Variously spelt.] "His skean, or pistol." Spenser.
SLICE n.
A knife with a thin, broad blade for taking up or serving fish; also, a spatula for spreading anything, as paint or ink.
SPATULA n.
An implement shaped like a knife, flat, thin, and somewhat flexible, used for spreading paints, fine plasters, drugs in compounding prescriptions, etc. Cf. Palette knife, under Palette.
SPOKESHAVE n.
A kind of drawing knife or planing tool for dressing the spokes of wheels, the shells of blocks, and other curved work.
