SUBMETALLIC a.
Imperfectly metallic; as, a submetallic luster.
TULA METAL n.
An alloy of silver, copper, and lead made at Tula in Russia. [Written also toola metal.]

ALLOY n. 4 definitions
Any combination or compound of metals fused together; a mixture of metals; for example, brass, which is an alloy of copper and zinc. But when mercury is one of the metals, the compound is called an amalgam.
ALLOY STEEL n.
Any steel containing a notable quantity of some other metal alloyed with the iron, usually chromium, nickel, manganese, tungsten, or vanadium.
ALLOYAGE n.
The act or art of alloying metals; also, the combination or alloy.
ALMOND FURNACE n.
A kind of furnace used in refining, to separate the metal from cinders and other foreign matter. Chambers.
ALUM n.
A double sulphate formed of aluminium and some other element (esp. an alkali metal) or of aluminium. It has twenty-four molecules of water of crystallization.
