PARAGLOSSA n.
One of a pair of small appendages of the lingua or labium of certain insects. See Illust. under Hymenoptera.

Having a conspicious tongue; -- said of certain reptiles and insects.
PTENOGLOSSA n.
A division of gastropod mollusks having the teeth of the radula arranged in long transverse rows, somewhat like the barbs of a feather.
