LUCUBRATE v. 2 definitions
To study by candlelight or a lamp; to study by night.
LUCUBRATION n.
That which is composed by night; that which is produced by meditation in retirement; hence (loosely) any literary composition. Thy lucubrations have been perused by several of our friends. Tatler.

One who studies by night; also, one who produces lucubrations.
