TIARAED a.
Adorned with, or wearing, a tiara.
TOXAEMIA; TOXEMIA a.
Blood poisoning. See under Blood.
TRACHEOPHONAE n.
A group of passerine birds having the syrinx at the lower end of the trachea.
TRACHYMEDUSAE n.
A division of acalephs in which the development is direct from the eggs, without a hydroid stage. Some of the species are parasitic on other medusæ.
TROPAEOLIN n.
A name given to any one of a series of orange-red dyestuffs produced artificially from certain complex sulphonic acid derivatives of azo and diazo hydrocarbons of the aromatic series; -- so called because of the general resemblance to the shades of nasturtium (Tropæolum).
TUBICOLAE n.
A division of annelids including those which construct, and habitually live in, tubes. The head or anterior segments usually bear gills and cirri. Called also Sedentaria, and Capitibranchiata. See Serpula, and Sabella.

See Tubularida.
TURNICIMORPHAE n.
A division of birds including Turnix and allied genera, resembling quails in appearance but differing from them anatomically.

Printers; -- used in the name of an association of the master printers of the United States and Canada, called The United Typothetæ of America.

An extensive family of butterflies, including those known as skippers (Hesperiadæ).
