MEERSCHAUM n. 2 definitions
drous silicate of magnesia, and is obtained chiefly in Asia Minor. It is manufacturd into tobacco pipes, cigar holders, etc. Also called sepiolite.

The commodity or other material thing to which the monopoly relates; as, tobacco is a monopoly in France. [Colloq.]

A white waxy substance having a hot, bitter taste, extracted from tobacco leaves and called also tobacco camphor.
