FLAT n.
A straw hat, broad-brimmed and low-crowned.
FLAXEN a.
Made of flax; resembling flax or its fibers; of the color of flax; of a light soft straw color; fair and flowing, like flax or tow; as, flaxen thread; flaxen hair.
