QUOLL n.
A marsupial of Australia (Dasyurus macrurus), about the size of a cat.
RHIZOPHAGA n.
A division of marsupials. The wombat is the type.

wn or blackish in color. See Illust. in App. -- Zebra wolf (Zoöl.), a savage carnivorous marsupial (Thylacinus cynocephalus) native of Tasmania; -- called also Tasmanian wolf.
WOMBAT n.
Any one of three species of Australian burrowing marsupials of the genus Phascolomys, especially the common species (P. ursinus). They are nocturnal in their habits, and feed mostly on roots.
