MELIC GRASS n.
A genus of grasses (Melica) of little agricultural importance.
OVERGRASSED a.
Overstocked, or overgrown, or covered, with grass. [Obs.] Spenser.
PARA GRASS n.
A valuable pasture grass (Panicum barbinode) introduced into the Southern United States from Brazil.
PEPPERGRASS n. 2 definitions
Any herb of the cruciferous genus Lepidium, especially the garden peppergrass, or garden cress, Lepidium sativum; -- called also pepperwort. All the species have a pungent flavor.

A kind of grass (Phleum pratense) with long cylindrical spikes; -- called also herd's grass, in England, cat's-tail grass, and meadow cat's-tail grass. It is much prized for fodder. See Illustration in Appendix.
