BARGEBOARD n.
A vergeboard.
BASEBOARD n.
A board, or other woodwork, carried round the walls of a room and touching the floor, to form a base and protect the plastering; -- also called washboard (in England), mopboard, and scrubboard.
BILLBOARD n. 2 definitions
A flat surface, as of a panel or of a fence, on which bills are posted; a bulletin board.
BLACKBOARD n.
A broad board painted black, or any black surface on which writing, drawing, or the working of mathematical problems can be done with chalk or crayons. It is much used in schools.
BRIDGEBOARD n. 2 definitions
A notched board to which the treads and risers of the steps of wooden stairs are fastened.
BUCKBOARD n.
A four-wheeled vehicle, having a long elastic board or frame resting on the bolsters or axletrees, and a seat or seats placed transversely upon it; -- called also buck wagon.

A clumsy boat, used for conveying provisions, fruit, etc., for sale, to vessels lying in port or off shore.
CARDBOARD n.
A stiff compact pasteboard of various qualities, for making cards, etc., often having a polished surface.

A small boat, esp. one used on rivers or near the shore.

A movable sideboard or buffet, on which plate and other articles of luxury were displayed on special ocasions. [Obs.] A way with the joint stools, remove the court-cupboard, look to the plate. Shak.

DASHBOARD n. 3 definitions
A board placed on the fore part of a carriage, sleigh, or other vechicle, to intercept water, mud, or snow, thrown up by the heels of the horses; -- in England commonly called splashboard.
DRAUGHTBOARD n.
A checkered board on which draughts are played. See Checkerboard.
EARTHBOARD n.
The part of a plow, or other implement, that turns over the earth; the moldboard.
