BARBAROUS a.
Foreign; adapted to a barbaric taste.[Obs.] Barbarous gold. Dryden.
BEAKIRON n.
A bickern; a bench anvil with a long beak, adapted to reach the interior surface of sheet metal ware; the horn of an anvil.
BINOCULAR a.
Adapted to the use of both eyes; as, a binocular microscope or telescope. Brewster.
BREASTING n.
The curved channel in which a breast wheel turns. It is closely adapted to the curve of the wheel through about a quarter of its circumference, and prevents the escape of the water until it has spent its force upon the wheel. See Breast wheel.
