WARPATH n.
The route taken by a party of Indians going on a warlike expedition. Schoolcraft. On the warpath, on a hostile expedition; hence, colloquially, about to attack a person or measure.
WATER LOCUST n.
A thorny leguminous tree (Gleditschia monosperma) which grows in the swamps of the Mississippi valley.
WEIGH n.

XEBEC n.
A small three-masted vessel, with projecting bow stern and convex decks, used in the Mediterranean for transporting merchandise, etc. It carries large square sails, or both. Xebecs were formerly armed and used by corsairs.
