MASCULINE a.
Belonging to males; appropriated to, or used by, males. [R.] "A masculine church." Fuller.

One who serves at the altar; one who performs sacerdotal duties; the pastor of a church duly authorized or licensed to preach the gospel and administer the sacraments. Addison.
MINSTER n.
A church of a monastery. The name is often retained and applied to the church after the monastery has ceased to exist (as Beverly Minster, Southwell Minster, etc.), and is also improperly used for any large church. A small projecting boss or bracket, on the under side of the hinged seat of a church stall (see Stall). It was intended, the seat being turned up, to give some support to a worshiper when standing. Called also misericordia.

MITER; MITRE n.

One of a party in the Church of Scotland in the 18th century, and part of the 19th, professing moderation in matters of church government, in discipline, and in doctrine.

MONARCHIAN n.
One of a sect in the early Christian church which rejected the doctrine of the Trinity; -- called also patripassian.
