HOUSEKEEPER n.
One who does, or oversees, the work of keeping house; as, his wife is a good housekeeper; often, a woman hired to superintend the servants of a household and manage the ordinary domestic affairs.

Having a redundant syllable; exceeding the common measure. Hypermetrical verse (Gr. & Lat. Pros.), a verse which contains a syllable more than the ordinary measure.

One who is versed in hypnology.

A figure in which the natural order of sense is reversed; hysterology; as, valet atque vivit, "he is well and lives."
