CARTILAGE n.
A translucent, elastic tissue; gristle.
CARTILAGINOUS a.
Of or pertaining to cartilage; gristly; firm and tough like cartilage.
CASTOR BEAN n.
The bean or seed of the castor-oil plant (Ricinus communis, or Palma Christi.)
CASTOR OIL n.
cathartic oil, expressed or extracted from the seeds of the Ricinus communis, or Palma Christi. When fresh the oil is inodorus and insipid. Castor-oil plant. Same as Palma Christi.
