MASCAGNIN; MASCAGNITE n.
ative sulphate of ammonia, found in volcanic districts; -- so named from Mascagni, who discovered it.
MASCLED a.
Composed of, or covered with, lozenge-shaped scales; having lozenge-shaped divisions. Mascled armor, armor composed of small lozenge-shaped scales of metal fastened on a foundation of leather or quilted cloth.
