DEGLAZE v.
To remove the glaze from, as pottery or porcelain, so as to give a dull finish.
DEPOLISHING n.
The process of removing the vitreous glaze from porcelain, leaving the dull luster of the surface of ivory porcelian. Knight.

Allowing light to pass through, as porcelain; translucent or transparent; pellucid; clear. Another cloud in the region of them, light enough to be fantastic and diaphanous. Landor.
