HYDROPHANE n.
A semitranslucent variety of opal that becomes translucent or transparent on immersion in water.
LEUCOPHANE n.
A mineral of a greenish yellow color; it is a silicate of glucina, lime, and soda with fluorine. Called also leucophanite.
LITHOPHANE n.
Porcelain impressed with figures which are made distinct by transmitted light, -- as when hung in a window, or used as a lamp shade.
