PODIUM n. 4 definitions
A low wall, serving as a foundation, a substructure, or a terrace wall. It is especially employed by archæologists in two senses:
POLYPODIUM n.
A genus of plants of the order Filices or ferns. The fructifications are in uncovered roundish points, called sori, scattered over the inferior surface of the frond or leaf. There are numerous species.
PROPODIUM n. 2 definitions
The anterior portion of the foot of a mollusk.
PSEUDOPODIUM n.
Same as Pseudopod.
PTERYGOPODIUM n.
A specially modified part of the ventral fin in male elasmobranchs, which serves as a copulatory organ, or clasper.

Any substance (but especially sodium hyposulphite) used in removing the excess of chlorine left in paper pulp or stuffs after bleaching.
