ANTHEMION n.
A floral ornament. See Palmette.
ANTHOCARPOUS a.
Having some portion of the floral envelopes attached to the pericarp to form the fruit, as in the checkerberry, the mulberry, and the pineapple.
CHORISIS n.
The separation of a leaf or floral organ into two more parts.
FLORIATED a.
Having floral ornaments; as, floriated capitals of Gothic pillars.

Any floral ornament or decoration. Rock.
FLOWER n.

Wanting any of the usual floral organs; -- said of a flower. Incomplete equation (Alg.), an equation some of whose terms are wanting; or one in which the coefficient of some one or more of the powers of the unknown quantity is equal to 0.

An oily liquid, Cl3.CHO, analogous to chloral and bromal.

Having a single floral envelope, that is, a calyx without a corolla, or, possibly, in rare cases, a corolla without a calyx.
