NATION n.
A great number; a great deal; -- by way of emphasis; as, a nation of herbs. Sterne. Five nations. See under Five. -- Law of nations. See International law, under International, and Law.
NONEMPHATIC; NONEMPHATICAL a.
Having no emphasis; unemphatic.
PALILOGY n.
The repetition of a word, or part of a sentence, for the sake of greater emphasis; as, "The living, the living, he shall praise thee." Is. xxxviii. 19.
