GISMONDINE; GISMONDITE n.
A native hydrated silicate of alumina, lime, and potash, first noticed near Rome.
GNATHOPODITE n.
Any leglike appendage of a crustacean, when modified wholly, or in part, to serve as a jaw, esp. one of the maxillipeds.
HERMAPHRODITE n. 2 definitions

A two-winged fly (Ceratitis capitata) with black and white markings, native of the Mediterranean countries, but now widely distributed. Its larva lives in ripening oranges, peaches, and other fruits, causing them to decay and fall.
