CARDAMOM n.
The aromatic fruit, or capsule with its seeds, of several plants of the Ginger family growing in the East Indies and elsewhere, and much used as a condiment, and in medicine.

Situated outside of a capsule, esp. outside the capsular ligament of a joint.
FRINGE n.
The peristome or fringelike appendage of the capsules of most mosses. See Peristome. Fringe tree (Bot.), a small tree (Chionanthus Virginica), growing in the Southern United States, and having snow- white flowers, with long pendulous petals.
GENTIAN n.
or five-lobed corolla, usually blue, but sometimes white, yellow, or red. See Illust. of Capsule.
GERANIUM n.
A genus of plants having a beaklike tours or receptacle, around which the seed capsules are arranged, and membranous projections, or stipules, at the joints. Most of the species have showy flowers and a pungent odor. Called sometimes crane's-bill.
GLOMERULUS n.
The bunch of looped capillary blood vessels in a Malpighian capsule of the kidney.
GONOTHECA n.
A capsule developed on certain hydroids (Thecaphora), inclosing the blastostyle upon which the medusoid buds or gonophores are developed; -- called also gonangium, and teleophore. See Hydroidea, and Illust. of Campanularian.
